Lilian Hicel Artist, Visionary, and Revolutionary

Lilián's creation of BLINDISM, her altruism, and her advocacy against ableism, have caught the interest and curiosity of many Reporters, Art critics, UNESCO, Ministries of Education and Culture from different Countries, etc. but not all of them have had the opportunity to interview her in person because she keeps her life and domicile very private for security reasons, though the ones who have interviewed her loved her work and story...
Art Critique on Lilian Hicel and BLINDISM
The Artwork of Lilian Hicel is created in part as Tactile installations called "BLINDISM". Each element of the Work is a relief. As if to make up for the phrase, "what is essential is invisible to the eye", a quote from "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry... When it comes to art, we place great emphasis on only one sense: sight. The message is almost like you can't see, you can't live art.
But through touch, Lilian's paintings open the doors to all art lovers, where the use of more than one sense provides a much richer understanding. .. If you touch these works you can gain an understanding of their consistency, shape, and mass.
And often the artist takes the viewer with her hands on her Artwork, to take a tour together and help him understand the composition and other details of her paintings that give detailed descriptions, descriptions that also have to do with the concepts of space, light, objects, facial expressions and the atmosphere of the Artwork.
The anatomical illustration is drawn from the confines of the medical world and is used by the artist to bring a human and emotional element into her work. Anatomy is a very important part of pop culture and Lilian is within this culture innovative ways to paint each character and reveal how the color, and its potential uses. Use either color or lack of color, to help determine the experience we are trying to convey in each piece of Artwork...
Search for essential shapes and details that can be incorporated into the painting, thus building a "landscape" of a particular experience. Lilian captures Feelings, emotions, moments in life, and values through different textures, thus when you touch her works, you SEE her works and LIVE the emotions.
A series of paintings depicting a moment in time, drawing on character data from Crimson Wilderness or some memorable tribes as fabulous loads of history and meaning.
However, her paintings are trying to go beyond their origin and really become something completely different.
